It goes back through the thread and tells you, plainly, including when the answer is that nobody ever said.

In your own words, for that part of your life. It waits for you to read it before anything goes anywhere.
“Sort out a time with them”
It works out what fits, proposes it, and puts it in your calendar once you say yes.
“Get me ready for this”
Who you are meeting, what it has been about, and the thing they asked for last time and never got.
“Keep an eye on this for me”
It comes back when something changes, rather than you remembering to go and look.
And the small things: the reply you have been putting off, the thing you promised someone on Tuesday, the detail you know is in there somewhere.
Wherever you already are
Text it from your phone. Email it, or put it on a thread you are already having. Open a chat and talk it through. It is the same assistant, and it remembers the conversation you were having in the other place.
It works while you are asleep and tells you what happened in the morning.
Safe enough to actually give it the keys
An assistant that can only talk is safe and not much use. Ours can act, so the care goes in first rather than afterwards.
It asks before it acts
Anything that would send, book or change something waits for you, and you decide where that line sits. It would rather come back having done less and said so.
It cannot do what it was never given
We ask for the narrowest access that does the job, and only when it is needed. Where something must not happen, the ability is taken away rather than asked for politely. That is a property of how it is built, not a rule it is trusted with.
A message is not an order
Anything arriving from outside is something to read, however firmly it is worded. Someone else cannot get your assistant to do their bidding by writing to you.
It says what it does not know
If it could not find something, it says so. It will not fill the gap with something plausible, and it will not tell you it did something it did not do.
Your life is not training data
Nothing of yours trains anything, ours or anybody else's. It is not sold and not shared. What we keep and for how long is in the privacy policy, and what we promise you is in the terms.
A secret you paste is taken out
If a password lands in a message, it is removed before it is stored and you are told to change it. Everybody does this by accident eventually.
We are letting people in slowly
This is early, and it is looking after things that matter to people. We would rather it be very good for a few than adequate for everybody, so it is invitation only for now and we add people as we are confident we can look after them properly.

What can it do without checking with me?
Reading and looking things up, and writing things that sit as drafts until you send them. Anything that leaves the building or changes your calendar waits for you, and you choose where that line sits.
How is this different from the assistant on my phone?
That one answers questions. This one does the job: it goes away, works across the things you have given it access to, and comes back when there is something to tell you.
Does it get things wrong?
Sometimes, like anyone. You can see what it did and undo it the way you normally would. When it fails it stops and waits for you rather than trying over and over.
Is my information used for training?
No. Not by us, and not by anyone we rely on. It is not sold, not shared, and not used to improve anything of ours.
What does it connect to?
The everyday accounts most people already keep their life in — mail, calendar, documents. More over time, and never anything you have not connected yourself.
